GEZE at B2B Talks. Barcelona, World Capital of Architecture and urban innovation laboratory

GEZE Iberia will take part in ‘B2B Talks 2026’ as a leading player in automation and connectivity for Barcelona’s urban future. Oscar Conde Pérez, a technical architect and company expert, will join the business roundtable to discuss Barcelona as a laboratory for European innovation and sustainability within the framework of the World Capital of Architecture.

In the context of Barcelona's official designation as the UNESCO-UIA World Capital of Architecture 2026, GEZE Iberia reaffirms its commitment to the evolution of the built environment. The leading company in smart access and ventilation systems announces its active participation in the next edition of the B2B Talks: Barcelona, world capital of architecture and laboratory of urban innovation: challenges and opportunities, organized by the Barcelona City Council and the European Chambers of Commerce. The meeting, which will be held on 9 June in Ca l'Alier, will bring together the main global and local agents in urban planning, landscaping and building with the aim of reflecting on the new challenges in terms of social, economic and environmental sustainability, as well as adaptation to climate change in resource-limited environments.

Guided by institutional representatives and European architecture and engineering studios with a presence in Barcelona, this event will present success stories and best practices that exemplify how public-private cooperation can have a positive impact and bring the city long-term value.

Smart technology as a driver of transformation

GEZE Iberia will take part in the high-profile Business Roundtable: “Barcelona as a European laboratory for architecture and engineering: success stories that transform the urban environment”. The firm will be represented by Oscar Conde Pérez, technical architect and expert in Connectivity and Automation at GEZE Iberia, who will contribute his technological and engineering perspective to a panel alongside leading professionals in the sector such as Sofia Alexanderson (TBI Arquitectura), Daria De Seta (Garcés de Seta Bonet arquitectes) and Itziar Huarte (L35 Arquitectos).

During the debate, Conde will address how the digitalisation of accesses, autonomous climate management through systems such as myGEZE Control and integrated façade automation are critical tools for turning architectural projects into "smart organisms". These solutions make it possible to optimise energy efficiency by up to 30% and guarantee universal accessibility without compromising the aesthetic design or the historical value of the heritage buildings of the condal city. With the motto "Connecting Expertise, Building Solutions", GEZE is establishing itself in this historic year as the ideal strategic partner for architects and specifiers looking to design resilient, safe urban infrastructures with a focus on human well-being.
